To accomplish this it brings together core research expertise from academia and industry in aerodynamics, acoustics, vehicle dynamics, lightweight structures, life cycle analysis, sustainability, design for environment, system science, modularisation, optimization data-driven methods, and more. 

The centre engages in multi-disciplinary and multi-vehicular research to find solutions to cross-functional conflicts that exist across many levels of the broader vehicle system. The results improve efficiency, accessibility and resilience in the transport system, in addition to reducing enviromental burdens. They also provide our industry partners with the competence, methods and knowledge needed to remain competitive in a changing world.
