Hi Lisa, what have you found out in your research?
– I’ve investigated the effects of different operational conditions, such as inflation pressure, tyre temperature, speed, load, road surface or tyre angles. These results have been used to develop a new method that can be used to measure rolling resistance of tyres at different temperatures. A reduction in rolling resistance would help in reducing greenhouse gas emissions, while also reducing the driving costs and increasing the driving range per charge for electric vehicles.
